Important Information
Safety Info
The fire day will be safe. We know what we're doing when using fire, having worked with flame and fireworks for 15 combined years. The best safety precautions will be taken in executing the Fire Day, including burning the fire inside a metal fire pit, keeping a good distance from fireworks, having a bucket of water on hand, and restricting use of the lighter to preapproved individuals and adults. We can all assure you that nobody will be burned or otherwise injured.
Schedule of Events
Setup will begin at 5:30 or 6:00 PM on the 29th. We will wait for people to show up around 7:00 and talk or play games. When the sun is beginning to go down, likely around 8:30, we will bring out the fire pit and build a fire using the worksheets provided by guests. Food is served (probably pizza). We will possibly roast marshmallows on the fire. Once the sun is down, we will possibly, maybe, conceivably, set off some fireworks to commemorate the end of the school year. Again, the best safety measures will be taken during the homework fire and fireworks portions while still ensuring a good time for everybody. After the fireworks (if they happen), we will begin the movie. The movie will be shown by projector on a screen in the backyard. What movie are we showing? That's a good question for which I have no answer (we'll decide later). The movie could last until 11:00 or 11:30 PM. You are welcome to leave any time before or after the movie ends.

Why are you doing this?
Because I like fire and I don't like school and the year is over so free fuel.
